There was a small surprise when seventh ranked BSV Wulfen (10-8) beat on the road 5th ranked Bonn 2 (10-9) 104-98 on Saturday. They outrebounded Bonn 2 40-20 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Bryant Allen (183-90, college: Dakota St.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Bulgarian swingman Lyuben Paskov (196-90) who added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. American-Dutch forward Shaquille Rombley (203, college: LMU) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Matt Frierson (189-97, college: Citadel) scored 27 points. Five Bonn 2 players scored in double figures. BSV Wulfen moved-up to fifth place in West. Loser Bonn 2 dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Recklinghausen. BSV Wulfen will meet at home Hamm (#8) in the next round. Bonn 2 will play against Recklinghausen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
