Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Schwelm (10-8) defeated on the road 9th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (6-10) 77-70 on Saturday. Point guard Rupert Hennen (184-97) fired 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Glen Burns (191-95, college: Chicago St.) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Senegalese Ousmane Ndiaye (210-4) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and Paul Albrecht (208-93) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Schwelm moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with BSW Sixers. Dragons Rhoendorf lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Schwelm will meet at home higher ranked TKS 49ers (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dragons Rhoendorf will play against the league's leader Muenster (#1) and hope to secure a win.
