Rhein Stars forced 19 ETV turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Rhein Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by ETV's players. American point guard Vincent Golson Jr (173-94, college: CSUDH) fired 19 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Point guard John Joseph Saigge (181-1) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Mubarak Salami (198-96) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and Karl Dia (194-96) added 9 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Rhein Stars maintains eleventh position in North with 4-13 record. ETV lost sixth consecutive game. ETV at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth place with 16 games lost. Rhein Stars will meet league's second-placed Wolmirstedt on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
