American forward Marshawn Blackmon (196-97, college: Newman) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Vechta-2's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Yassin Mahfouz (194-93) produced 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Daniel Borchers (185-97) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Five Vechta-2 and four Berlin BG 2000 players scored in double figures. Vechta-2 (16-4) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in North. Berlin BG 2000 at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Vechta-2 are looking forward to face Goetting.ASC (#6) in Goettingen in the next round where they are favorite. Berlin BG 2000 will play at home against Neustadt TSV and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
