There was a small surprise in Istanbul where tenth ranked Turk Telekom (10-11) defeated 8th ranked Acibadem (12-10) 86-69 on Saturday. Turk Telekom dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Acibadem's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Kazakhstan point guard Anthony Clemmons (187-1994, college: Iowa, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 22 points. American JaJuan Johnson (208-1989, college: Purdue) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Berkay Candan (205-1993) who recorded 20 points and American center Richard Solomon (208-1992, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) added 5 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Turk Telekom have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Despite that victory Turk Telekom went down to eleventh position due to points difference. Loser Acibadem keeps the eighth place with ten games lost.
