Regular Season Round 22: Bernau - BSW Sixers 79-101
Date: February 12, 2022
Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked SSV Lok Bernau (6-11) was rolled over at home by sixth ranked Sixers (10-8) 101-79 on Saturday. Sixers shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by SSV Lok Bernau's players. Danish forward Frederik Rungby (199-93) fired 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Marco Rahn (199-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Christoph Tilly (210-3) produced 15 points and Nolan Adekunle (200-2) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sixers moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Schwelm. Loser SSV Lok Bernau keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Sixers will meet at home higher ranked Duesseldorf (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SSV Lok Bernau will play against ETV (#12) in Hamburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
