There was a minor upset in Sakiai where 8th ranked Vytis (17-14) was defeated by eleventh ranked Kretinga (10-21) 90-84 on Saturday. Point guard Domininkas Matutis (178-91) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Rytis Zabita (200-94) chipped in 23 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Aurelijus Pukelis (205-94) with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Paulius Beliavicius (196-88) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Five Kretinga and four Vytis players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Kretinga maintains eleventh position with 10-21 record. Loser Vytis keeps the eighth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Palanga. Kretinga will meet higher ranked Palanga (#9) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vytis will play against Mazeikiai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
