No shocking result in a game when second ranked Akademie Muenchen (10-3) crushed at home 7th ranked Sudhessen (2-11) 120-68 on Sunday. Akademie Muenchen well out of reach of Sudhessen shooting 72.5 percent from the field. They outrebounded Sudhessen 34-14 including a 26-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Benjamin Schroeder (201-2003) notched 26 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and Lithuanian Emilis Butkus (197-2003) supported him with 23 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Four Akademie Muenchen players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by Tom Metzelthin (193-2004) did not help to save the game for Sudhessen. Point guard Yannis Giesselbach (191-2003) added 9 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Akademie Muenchen have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in South with 10-3 record behind leader Ludwigsburg BBA. Loser Sudhessen keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost.
