Important game to mention about took place in Goettingen. Goettingen (7-5) saved a 2-point victory at home edging NINERS (6-4) 83-81 in the game for the second place. Goettingen made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Goettingen outrebounded NINERS 33-16 including a 15-3 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Christopher Schultz (194-3) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Croatian point guard Daniel Zelanto-Vorsovsky (184-4) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard Brendan Gregori (184-4) came up with 23 points and Nick Lasch (203-4) added 15 points respectively for NINERS in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. NINERS's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Goettingen will play against MBA (#4) in Weissenfels in the next round. NINERS will play at home against Braunschweig and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
