Regular Season Round 23: Juventus - Nevezis 94-77
Date: February 15, 2022
Rather expected game when 9th ranked Nevezis (5-14) lost to sixth ranked Juventus (10-9) in Utena 77-94 on Tuesday. Juventus shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Patrick Miller (185-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: Slash Sports) who led the winners and scored 18 points. Forward Tomas Lekunas (199-1993) accounted for 12 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American guard TJ Starks (188-1998, college: CSUN) came up with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Amar Sylla (206-2001) added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for Nevezis in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Juventus moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Siauliai. Nevezis lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. Juventus will meet bottom-ranked Prienai CBet (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nevezis will play against the league's second-placed Rytas and hope to secure a win.
