Rather expected game when 8th ranked BG Goettingen (11-8) lost on the road to sixth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (14-7) 86-79 on Wednesday. American players dominated the game. Justin Simon (196-1996, college: St.John's) notched 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Jonah Radebaugh (190-1997, college: N.Colorado) supported him with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 16 points and 4 assists by point guard Stephen Brown Jr (180-1996, college: Bucknell) did not help to save the game for BG Goettingen. Swingman Jake Toolson (196-1996, college: BYU) added 14 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. EnBW Ludwigsburg moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ulm. Loser BG Goettingen keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will meet bottom-ranked 46ers (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. BG Goettingen will play against the league's second-placed Chemnitz (#2) and hope to secure a win.
