No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked UBC St. Poelten (10-8) crushed 9th ranked Timberwolves (5-10) in St.Poelten 74-54 on Wednesday. The game without a history. UBC St. Poelten led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. UBC St. Poelten outrebounded Timberwolves 40-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Chris Ferguson (206-1989, college: Mid-Continent) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Steven Kaltenbrunner (186-1998) supported him with 16 points. Four UBC St. Poelten players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds by Slovenian center Ziga Fifolt (210-1993) did not help to save the game for Timberwolves. The former international point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-1990) added 7 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UBC St. Poelten moved-up to fourth place. Timberwolves at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost.
