No shocking result in a game in Kaunas where fourth ranked VKM (9-6) smashed bottom-ranked Zalgiris I (2-11) 103-81 on Thursday. The game without a history. VKM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Zalgiris I's 44. VKM forced 23 Zalgiris I turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Gedas Jucius (173-2004) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and swingman Benas Hofsteteris (191-2004) who added 19 points and 6 assists during the contest. VKM's coach Linas Salkus felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Povilas Zeimys (190-2004) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Arijanas Maskaliunas (201-2004) scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Five VKM and four Zalgiris I players scored in double figures. VKM have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 9-6 record. Zalgiris I lost third consecutive game.
