Regular Season Round 21: Urla - Emlak 68-89

TKBL top team - Emlak (21-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Urla (6-15) in Izmir 89-68. Emlak looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Urla's players. It was a good game for Nihal Gungor (-1990) who led her team to a victory with 22 points and 5 rebounds. American center Sasha Goodlett (195-1990, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Emlak's coach Murat Alkas felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Caitlin Jenkins (190, college: Rutgers) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and Avinar Kaya (-1998) added 16 points in the effort for Urla. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Emlak have an impressive series of twenty one victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-0 record. Urla lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Emlak are looking forward to face Cesme (#10) in Izmir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Urla will play at home against Rize (#4) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
