There was no surprise when 14th ranked Grevenbroich (4-16) was outleveled on the road by eleventh ranked Hagen BG (8-11) 112-88 on Friday. Bulgarian Milen Zahariev (190-1992) nailed 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Lithuanian forward Vytautas Nedzinskas (196-1987) accounted for 24 points and 13 rebounds. Five Hagen BG players scored in double figures. Hagen BG's coach Kosta Filippou felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin center Dzemal Selimovic (205-1999) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and American guard John Murry (192-1995, college: Austin Peay) added 29 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Grevenbroich in the defeat. Hagen BG maintains eleventh place in West with 8-11 record. Grevenbroich lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
