Regular Season Round 23: Iserlohn - Wedel 90-82

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Iserlohn where eighth ranked Kangaroos (8-8) won against 7th ranked Rist Wedel (10-8) 90-82 on Saturday. Kangaroos made 19-of-19 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Croatian point guard Toni Prostran (183-1991) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. French-Guinean Tidjan Keita (207-1996) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Kangaroos players scored in double figures. American point guard Jordan Walker (184-1997, college: Morehead St.) responded with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian Martin Jelic (198-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kangaroos maintains eighth place in North with 8-8 record. Rist Wedel lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Kangaroos will meet higher ranked Duesseldorf (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rist Wedel will play against ETV and hope to secure a win.
