BasketLigaen top team - Bakken (16-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Vaerlose (5-12) in Aarhus 96-87. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-1989) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) to lead the effort and American forward Ryan Evans (202-1990, college: Wisconsin) supported him with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Even 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by point guard Asbjorn Nerlov (196-1998) did not help to save the game for Vaerlose. Guard Mikkel Hauge (193-1999, college: Seattle) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Bakken and four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. Bakken have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-0 record. Vaerlose lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost.
