There was an upset in Izmir where 4th placed Bornova (13-7) was rolled over by fourteenth ranked Balikesir (7-13) 87-66 on Sunday. Balikesir looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Bornova's players. American guard Kahlil Dukes (183-1995, college: Niagara) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Carlton Bragg Jr (208-1995, college: N.Mexico) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Balikesir players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Arca Tuluoglu (180-1997) with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Tobin Carberry (193-1991, college: LIU Post) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Balikesir maintains fourteenth place with 7-13 record. Loser Bornova keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with OGM Orman and Konyaspor.
