The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Furstenfeld Panthers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Furstenfeld Panthers smashed 5th ranked Mustangs at home 82-54. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mustangs. The game without a history. Furstenfeld Panthers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Norwegian guard Andrija Blatancic (201-1995, college: St.Cloud St.) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Fred Sims Jr. (193-1997, college: Chicago St.) who added 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Sims Jr. is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Czech power forward Michal Norwa (202-1983) responded with 8 points and 15 rebounds and Czech point guard Jan Kozina (181-1995) scored 4 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Nord Dragonz. Mustangs at the other side keep the fifth place with six games lost. Mustangs will play next round against Future Team trying to get back on the winning streak. Furstenfeld Panthers will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Rocks in Mattersburg.
