The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Tornados (10-2) in Nuernberg on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Muenster (11-2) 81-67. It was a key game for the top position in North B. Muenster dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Tornados' 26. Muenster forced 26 Tornados turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Tornados helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Lorenz Neuhaus (183-2003) fired 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Paul Viefhues (192-2005) chipped in 19 points. Erik Ten Weges (199-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Simon Feneberg (187-2005) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Tornados players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Muenster have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position in North B with 11-2 record which they share with defeated Tornados. Tornados at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
