Second Stage Round 4: Crailsheim - Koeln RS 86-85

A very close game took place in Crailsheim between Crailsheim and RheinStars Koeln. Fifth ranked Crailsheim (3-9) got a very close home victory over their close opponent RheinStars Koeln (3-11). Crailsheim managed to escape with a 1-point win 86-85 in the fight for the fifth place. Crailsheim forced 21 RheinStars Koeln turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Czech center Matej Zejdl (206-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Rouven Kerstan (185-2004) who added 26 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) during the contest. Four Crailsheim players scored in double figures. At the losing side Darius Pervan (195-2003) responded with 26 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and Louis De la Vourdelle (193-2003) scored 12 points. RheinStars Koeln's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Crailsheim maintains fifth position in South B with 3-9 record which they share with defeated RheinStars Koeln. Loser RheinStars Koeln keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. Crailsheim will meet at home league's second-placed Bonn/Rh. in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. RheinStars Koeln will play against OrangeAcademy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
