Very expected game in Bucuresti where 8th ranked Craiova 2 (2-8) was rolled over by third ranked Laguna S. (10-2) 96-50 on Sunday. The game without a history. Laguna S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Laguna S. forced 26 Craiova 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 41-21 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Craiova 2's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Ilija Stefanovic (208-1998, college: Longwood) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Luka Stefanovic who added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Laguna S. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Niki Rogobete (-2003) with 10 points and forward Iulian Corneanu (197-1989) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Laguna S. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-2 record behind leader Stiinta. Newly promoted Craiova 2 dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Laguna S. will meet Brasov (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Craiova 2 will play against Oradea 2 and hope to secure a win.
