Date: February 23, 2022
Dameligaen top team - Falcon (12-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Aabyhoj (1-10) 71-65. It looked good early as Aabyhoj took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Falcon had a 20-18 second period charge getting the lead and Aabyhoj was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-71. Falcon forced 19 Aabyhoj turnovers. The winners were led by international guard Elisabeth Brynaa (176-1993) who scored that evening 23 points and 8 rebounds and Icelandic forward Thora Jonsdottir (173-1997) supported her with 12 points and 5 steals. Even a double-double of 20 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals by international center Caroline Wich (185-1996, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Aabyhoj. Point guard Camilla Christiansen (175-2001) added 18 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Falcon maintains first position with 12-1 record. Aabyhoj lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Falcon's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Copenhagen to the arena .
