Everything went according to plan in Istanbul where second ranked Besiktas (14-5) outleveled 9th ranked Merkezefendi (2-15) 90-61 on Thursday. Besiktas dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Merkezefendi's 28. Besiktas forced 21 Merkezefendi turnovers and outrebounded them 47-26 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Besiktas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for Tolga Deliktas (-2003) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Yagiz Aksu (192-2005) helped adding 13 points and 5 assists. At the losing side forward Atahan Altiok (198-2004) responded with 12 points and 7 assists and Fikri Odunkesenler (-2004) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Besiktas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-5 record having just one point less than leader Gaziantep. Merkezefendi lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost.
