Regular Season Round 22: Manisa - Mamak 90-82

TBL top team - Manisa (16-5) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat seventh ranked Mamak (12-8) 90-82. Manisa made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Manisa outrebounded Mamak 38-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Andre Williamson (203-1989, college: App State) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import point guard Diante Watkins (174-1990, college: RMU) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Marlain Veal (175-1996, college: SE Louisiana) replied with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and guard Alihan Genc (189-1998) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Mamak. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Manisa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-5 record, which they share with Samsun. Mamak at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Manisa is looking forward to face league's second-placed Samsun on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mamak will play against Final Spor (#15) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
