Regular Season Round 17: Mustangs - Future Team 86-42

Not a big story in a game in Mistelbach where bottom-ranked Future Team (0-14) was rolled over by fifth ranked Mustangs (8-6) 86-42 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Mustangs. Future Team managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Future Team to just 4 points in third quarter. Mustangs dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Future Team's 18. Mustangs forced 23 Future Team turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Christoph Leydolf (190-1999) who scored 23 points and 4 steals. Czech power forward Michal Norwa (202-1983) chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Elias Podany (183-2002) produced 14 points and forward Maximilian Seher (196-2004) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mustangs moved-up to second place, which they share with Lions and KOS. Newly promoted Future Team still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Mustangs will meet league's second-placed Lions in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Future Team will play against the league's leader Nord Dragonz (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
