Regular Season Round 22: Saarlouis - Stuttgart 72-75

The most exciting game of round 22 in the Regionalliga took place in Saarlouis. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd ranked Saarlouis (10-6) to first ranked Stuttgart (14-3) 75-72 on Saturday evening. Greek guard Vassilis Lampropoulos (196-1990) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Edward Hall chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Ricky Easterling (189-1983, college: Bridgewater) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and guard Jesse Chidera Ani (191-2002) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Saarlouis' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stuttgart maintains first position in South West with 14-3 record. Saarlouis at the other side dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Kronberg. Stuttgart are looking forward to face Mannheim (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Saarlouis will play against TV Langen (#12) and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
