There was no surprise in Frankfurt where 9th ranked White Wings (7-11) were defeated by sixth ranked Skyliners II (10-9) 82-77 on Sunday. Skyliners II made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Matthew Meredith (200-2000, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Philipp Hadenfeldt (188-1999) helped adding 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Skyliners II players scored in double figures. Skyliners II's coach Sepehr Tarrah used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman JD Tisdale (196-1993, college: Rogers St.) responded with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Dion Mohammed Braimoh (195-1999) scored 16 points. Skyliners II maintains sixth place in South with 10-9 record. Loser White Wings keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Skyliners II will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. White Wings will play against Loewen (#3) in Erfurt and hope to secure a win.
