There was an upset when higher ranked Antalya (9-12) was outscored by fifteenth ranked Final Spor (7-14) in Bursa 115-73 on Sunday. Final Spor made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Antalya turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Antalya's players. Point guard Sabahattin Gondur (185-1995) notched 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists to lead the effort and point guard Erdem Ilter (186-1990) supported him with 18 points and 8 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Five Final Spor players scored in double figures. Final Spor's coach Berat Gok felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists by American point guard Kasey Hill (186-1993, college: Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Antalya. Serbian power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-1986, agency: BeoBasket) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Final Spor maintains fifteenth position with 7-14 record. Newly promoted Antalya keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Mersin BBGSK. Final Spor will meet higher ranked Mamak (#7) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Antalya will play against Kagitspor in Izmit and hope to secure a win.
