No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Tornado KM (8-9) beat 11th ranked Saule (3-14) in Kaunas 85-75 on Monday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-75. Tornado KM dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Saule's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Nojus Adomavicius (189-2004) nailed 32 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and guard Marius Mazeika (188-2005) accounted for 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Tornado KM players scored in double figures. Forward Domantas Sarauskas (200-2004) came up with 26 points and 8 rebounds and Gustas Blinkinas (-2004) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Saule in the defeat. Saule's coach Egidijus Vasiliauskas tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tornado KM moved-up to sixth place. Saule lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Tornado KM's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena Zalgiris I.
