Regular Season Round 17: VKKM - KKM I 94-66

The game between third ranked VKKM (14-1) and 10th ranked KKM I (3-10) in Vilniaus on Tuesday ended with biggest points difference. VKKM outscored guests from Klaipeda 94-66. The game without a history. VKKM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. VKKM outrebounded KKM I 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for VKKM especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Arnas Knystautas (186-2004) nailed 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and forward Mantas Mockevicius (197-2004) accounted for 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Four VKKM players scored in double figures. VKKM's coach Mindaugas Bugys felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Emilis Maziliauskas (192-2004) came up with 21 points and guard Kristupas Umantas (189-2004) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for KKM I in the defeat. VKKM have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser KKM I keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. VKKM's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Vilniaus to the arena SKM II.
