Second Stage Round 11: Suduva-Mantinga - Zalgiris II 78-67

NKL top team - Suduva-Mantinga (29-5) managed to deliver another win on Thursday. This time they beat sixth ranked Zalgiris II (16-20) in Marijampole 78-67. It was a quality performance for point guard Aurimas Urbonas (198-1993) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Lukas Aukstikalnis (196-1995) accounted for 15 points and 4 steals for the winning side. Center Motiejus Krivas (213-2004) came up with 5 points and 11 rebounds and Dovydas Butka (202-2003) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Zalgiris II in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zalgiris II's coach Vytautas Pliauga rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Suduva-Mantinga have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 29-5 record. Zalgiris II lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 20 games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zalgiris II's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kaunas LSU-Atletas.
