Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Cuxhaven (6-14) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Westerstede (12-8) 74-61 on Saturday. It was a great evening for point guard Luca Michels (183-2002) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Max Schell (200-2003) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Westerstede players scored in double figures. Marc Klesper (191-2000) responded with 23 points and 4 assists and center Best Otakho (213-2001) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Westerstede maintains sixth place in North with 12-8 record. Cuxhaven lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Westerstede will meet at home league's second-placed Stade in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cuxhaven will play against Bramsche (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
