Second Stage Round 12: Gargzdu - Silute 85-61

The game between Top Four teams took place in Gargzdai. Third ranked host Gargzdu (28-8) smashed one of their biggest challengers Silute (19-16) 85-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Silute. Gargzdu players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by Mantas Ruikis (197-1985) who scored that evening 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Ernestas Jonkus (187-1999) supported him with 21 points and 6 assists. Four Gargzdu players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by American Delante Jones (194-1995, college: Seattle) did not help to save the game for Silute. Canadian center Ibrahima Sylla (206-1995, college: UQAM) added 6 points and 8 rebounds. Gargzdu maintains third position with 28-8 record having just five point less than leader Suduva-Mantinga. Silute at the other side keeps the fourth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with LSU-Atletas. Gargzdu will play against league's leader Suduva-Mantinga in Marijampole in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Silute will play on the road against the league's second-placed Telsiai in Telsiu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
