Regular Season Round 24: Galatasaray - Gaziantep 75-74

The most exciting game of round 24 in the BSL took place in Istanbul. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Gaziantep (13-9) to sixth ranked Galatasaray (13-9) 75-74 in the game for the fifth place. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Galatasaray made 7 blocks. It was a good game for Senegalese Maurice Ndour (206-1992, college: Ohio) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. American guard Melo Trimble (190-1995, college: Maryland, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American point guard QJ Peterson (183-1994, college: VMI) replied with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import Jarmar Gulley (196-1991, college: Missouri St.) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Gaziantep. Five Galatasaray and four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Galatasaray moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Gaziantep. Gaziantep lost third consecutive game. Galatasaray is looking forward to face Merkezefendi (#12) in Denizl in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gaziantep will play on the road against Turk Telekom (#11) in Ankara and is hoping to win this game.
