Regular Season Round 24: Muenster - Schwelm 87-83

An interesting game for Muenster (18-1) which hosted in Muenster 4th ranked Schwelm (11-9). First ranked Muenster managed to get a 4-point victory 87-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Schwelm. Muenster made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Helge Wezorke who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Cosmo Gruehn (201-1998) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Muenster's coach Chad Prewitt used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Rupert Hennen (184-1997) replied with 27 points and 6 assists and American guard Glen Burns (191-1995, college: Chicago St.) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Schwelm. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Muenster maintains first position in North with 18-1 record. Schwelm at the other side dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. Muenster are looking forward to face Kangaroos (#8) in Iserlohn in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Schwelm will play at home against SSV Lok Bernau and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
