Very expected game when 14th ranked Fethiye (7-14) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Mersin BBGSK (10-12) 99-86 on Saturday. Mersin BBGSK dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Fethiye's 28. They outrebounded Fethiye 36-22 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mersin BBGSK looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Fethiye's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mersin BBGSK made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American center Jamelle Hagins (206-1990, college: Delaware) who scored 22 points. Forward Gokhan Yazicioglu (200-1990) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds.
