Regular Season Round 24: Constanta - Ploiesti CSM 86-71

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Constanta's (10-12) home victory over 9th ranked Ploiesti CSM (8-11) 86-71. The game was mostly controlled by Constanta. Ploiesti CSM was better in second period 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Ploiesti CSM 47-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. Constanta players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by Saint Lucian-Canadian guard Adika Peter-McNeilly (190-1993, college: Ryerson) who scored that evening 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Panamanian forward Tyler Gaskins (193-1992, college: St.Peter's) supported him with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Even 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by Serbian-North Macedonian point guard Andrej Magdevski (192-1996, agency: Mansfield and Associates) did not help to save the game for Ploiesti CSM. American point guard Johnathan Jordan (178-1992, college: TAMUCC, agency: Slash Sports) added 10 points and 7 assists. Four Constanta and five Ploiesti CSM players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Constanta moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Steaua B. Newly promoted Ploiesti CSM dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Dinamo B.. Constanta will play against higher ranked Timisoara (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ploiesti CSM will play against Steaua B. (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
