No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked WSG Koenigs (10-12) defeated on the road 14th ranked Bramsche (5-18) 93-83 on Saturday. WSG Koenigs dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Bramsche's 26 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for center Oliver Mackeldanz (211-1990) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American Andrew Jones (191-1983, college: Miles) helped adding 26 points and 4 steals. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Swedish guard Hugo Florestedt (196-1998, college: Temple JC) responded with 28 points and 8 rebounds and Christopher Meyer (198-1998) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. WSG Koenigs have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with Berlin BG 2000. Bramsche lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. WSG Koenigs will meet at home Berlin BG 2000 (#8) in the next round. Bramsche will play against Cuxhaven (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
