An interesting game for FC Porto (16-1) which played road game in Lisbon against 3rd placed Benfica (15-3). Second ranked FC Porto managed to get a 5-point victory 68-63. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Benfica. The former international forward Joao Soares (202-1990, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Odomes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Tunisian Makram Ben Romdhane (205-1989) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 19 rebounds and the former international Betinho Gomes (202-1985) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Benfica. FC Porto have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Benfica at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. FC Porto are looking forward to face Imortal (#6) in Albufeira in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Benfica will play on the road against Illiabum in Ilhavo and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
