Regular Season Round 24: Wedel - ETV Hamburg 82-68
Date: March 6, 2022
Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked ETV (1-18) lost on the road to sixth ranked Rist Wedel (11-8) 82-68 on Sunday. Rist Wedel made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 ETV turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American point guard Jordan Walker (184-1997, college: Morehead St.) who scored that evening 24 points and 4 assists and center Hendrik Drescher (204-2000) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Even 22 points and 6 assists by Mubarak Salami (198-1996) did not help to save the game for ETV. Forward Jack Fritsche (200-1996, college: Columbia, MO) added 24 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rist Wedel moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with TKS 49ers. ETV lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Rist Wedel will meet Sixers (#7) in the next round. ETV will play against Dragons Rhoendorf (#9) and hope to win that game.
