Regular Season Round 23: Bayern - Bamberg 83-62

BBL top team - Bayern Muenchen (18-5) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Brose Bamberg (9-12) 83-62. 24 personal fouls committed by Brose Bamberg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American DeShaun Thomas (201-1991, college: Ohio St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. His fellow American import Augustine Rubit (203-1989, college: USA) helped adding 12 points. Five Bayern Muenchen players scored in double figures. Bayern Muenchen's coach Andrea Trinchieri felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International power forward Christian Sengfelder (202-1995, college: Boise St.) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Justin Robinson (170-1995, college: Monmouth) scored 16 points. Bayern Muenchen maintains first place with 18-5 record. Brose Bamberg at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Braunschweig. Bayern Muenchen are looking forward to face league's second-placed Telekom Baskets in Bonn in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brose Bamberg will play at home against EWE Baskets (#17) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
