There was a minor upset when second-ranked Bonn/Rh. (7-8) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Crailsheim (4-9) 81-76 on Sunday. Crailsheim looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Aaron Hermann (172-2004) stepped up and scored 31 points and 6 assists for the winners and Czech center Matej Zejdl (206-2003) chipped in 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Lars Brodisch (198-2004) responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Janne Mueller (190-2006) scored 14 points and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Crailsheim maintains fifth place in South B with 4-9 record. Loser Bonn/Rh. keeps the second position with eight games lost. Crailsheim will meet higher ranked Akademie (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bonn/Rh. will play against Young Tigers and hope to secure a win.
