Regular Season Round 24: Jonava - Siauliai 62-79

The most interesting game of round 24 in the LKL was a home defeat of 5th ranked Jonava (10-10) by fourth ranked Siauliai (11-9) who outscored them by 17 points 79-62 in the game for the fourth place. Siauliai looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Isaiah Armwood (206-1990, college: GWU) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and point guard Donatas Sabeckis (197-1992) who added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Spanish-Colombian power forward Juan Palacios-Tello (206-1985) with 9 points and 18 rebounds and forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-1985, college: William & Mary) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Siauliai maintains fourth position with 11-9 record. Newly promoted Jonava keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Juventus. Siauliai are looking forward to face Dzukija (#8) in Alytus in the next round. Jonava will play on the road against the league's leader Zalgiris in Kaunas and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
