Regular Season Round 18: ASRC - VKM 84-82

The most exciting game of round 18 in the U18 League took place in Alytus. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers VKM (9-8) to sixth ranked ASRC (9-7) 84-82 in the game for the fourth place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-14. But VKM won second period 25-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ASRC forced 19 VKM turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Forward Nojus Lebskas (197-2004) scored 30 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Saimonas Jeremicius (195-2004) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Laurynas Klimas (182-2004) with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Danielius Kasparas (198-2004) scored 9 points and 16 rebounds. ASRC moved-up to fourth place. VKM at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. ASRC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. VKM will play at home against Panevezio (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
