There was no surprise in Ankara where 8th ranked Gemlik (10-12) was defeated by fifth ranked OGM Orman (14-8) 72-56 on Wednesday. OGM Orman dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Gemlik's 22. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Nigerian center Andy Ogide (206-1987, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and Yigit Sarikaya (202-1999) who added 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four OGM Orman players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Darnell Edge (188-1997, college: FDU) with 20 points and guard Onder Atun (192-2001) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. OGM Orman maintains fifth position with 14-8 record. Gemlik at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Kagitspor and Mersin BBGSK. OGM Orman will meet at home Balikesir (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gemlik will play against Sigortam.net (#3) and hope to secure a win.
