No shocking result in a game in Istanbul where fourth ranked Besiktas (8-5) defeated bottom-ranked Petkim Spor (2-11) 86-76. Besiktas dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Petkim Spor's 30. Besiktas forced 26 Petkim Spor turnovers and had a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Ege Ozsever (-2003) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds. Yigit Coban (-2002) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Besiktas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Gokay Hacioglu (-2002) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and forward Akkan Atasoy (196-2003) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Petkim Spor. Besiktas moved-up to third place, which they share with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. Petkim Spor lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Besiktas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Fenerbahce.
