No shocking result in a game in Telsiu where second ranked Telsiai (29-7) defeated 5th ranked Silute (19-17) 103-87 on Thursday. Telsiai looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Point guard Ignas Razutis (185-1987) stepped up and scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Deividas Rasys (192-1997) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Telsiai's coach Rytis Vaisvila used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard JJ Culver (193-1997, college: WBU) responded with 22 points and Tomas Balciunas (204-2000) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Telsiai have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 29-7 record having just six point less than leader Suduva-Mantinga. Loser Silute dropped to the fourth position with 17 games lost. They share it with LSU-Atletas. Telsiai will meet LSU-Atletas (#4) in the next round. Silute will have a break next round.
