Second Stage Round 13: Kretinga - Delikatesas 67-84

Bottom-ranked Delikatesas managed to get a eighth victory on Thursday night. This time they won against twelfth-ranked Kretinga 84-67. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference proves that Delikatesas was well-prepared to that game. Delikatesas outrebounded Kretinga 40-23 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ugnius Mineikis (190-2000) stepped up and scored 20 points and 4 assists for the winners and guard Arunas Rimkus (193-2004) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side guard Mintautas Mockus (201-2003) responded with 18 points and center Rytis Zabita (200-1994) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Delikatesas and four Kretinga players scored in double figures. Delikatesas maintains fourteenth place with 8-28 record. Kretinga lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 27 games lost. Delikatesas will meet at home higher ranked Vytis (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kretinga will play against Mazeikiai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
