Regular Season Round 25: BSW Sixers - Wedel 80-95

Everything went according to plan in Sandersdorf where fourth ranked Rist Wedel (12-8) beat 7th ranked Sixers (10-10) 95-80 on Saturday. Rist Wedel made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Rist Wedel especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. American point guard Jordan Walker (184-1997, college: Morehead St.) fired 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Center Hendrik Drescher (204-2000) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Rist Wedel players scored in double figures. Point guard Vincent Friederici (190-2001) produced 20 points and 6 assists and Croatian-Bosnian power forward Sandro Antunovic (208-1998) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rist Wedel have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Duesseldorf. Loser Sixers keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Rist Wedel will meet Dragons Rhoendorf (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sixers will play against Kangaroos in Iserlohn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
